What does wellness really mean?

It might seem like it takes sugar-free, carb-free, fun-free food, hours spent in meditation or brutal soul-killing workouts to be the healthiest version of yourself.

The truth is, wellness is not just skipping dessert, running a marathon or swilling gallons of celery juice.

My approach to wellness is holistic — meaning that I believe your health and your quality of life are driven by the whole picture of your day-to-day habits and experiences:

  • What you eat throughout your day — AND how much you enjoy your food.
  • How stress impacts you on a daily basis and what steps you take (constructive or not) to cope.
  • How well you sleep at night — getting to sleep, staying asleep, and the quality of that rest — and how that impacts your levels of energy and mental clarity.
  • How satisfied and stimulated you are by your career and your passions outside of work.
  • The quality and health of your relationships with your family, your spouse, your kids, friends and community.
  • Whether or not you feel a sense of spiritual connection and have an inner space of peace.
  • And impacting all of the above, the quality of your MOST important relationship — the one you have with yourself.
